Design Process: Sketches
The process in creating anything is a very unique one for every individual. It’s the reason I enjoy asking questions and understanding the thought process. It’s an entryway to a new world and a new perspective. Through active listening, you can begin applying that same process into new experiences and creations throughout the years.
As I’m laying out the story for this new painting, I like starting off with an anchor point and add shapes to build out my composition.
I like to scribble out the elements I want to add within those shapes to be more efficient in my creative process.
Being able to have an anchor, a theme, and the composition allows me to keep my eyes open and my mind curious for inspiration. That inspiration can be added into the shapes I’ve laid out or used to connect the dots within the theme.
I hope you enjoy these new sketches and begin to see through a new schema.
